Charity update!

28/2/2015

Sigh finally the charities commission came back and they need more detail- obviously I confused the issue by having a studio that does charity yoga every 50 and having Yoga Quota Teachers who have their own quotas across the UK.

At least it's not a no just a clarification. I'm so happy I have Tara who set up 'Made By the Masai' on board as a trustee who also went through rounds and rounds of clarifications to get hers through!

In the mean time we have 3 charity classes going on next week and 3 the following week spreading yoga to:

Disabled children

Youth in South London

Homeless people

People recovering from mental illness!

More on those on separate blogs!

Yoga in a hotel room

Doing yoga in a hotel room again! Feels just like when I started yoga. Stuck in little hotels, in a deserted area near a factory, doing my little sun salutations on the carpet.

Plus sides you often get full surrounding mirrors which can help you critique your practice. Downside you get surrounding mirrors which help you get distracted from your 'inward turn'!

Why you ask? Board meeting. I'm working for another not for profit now. Yoga Quota continues apace. But now I'm a charity I was feeling awkward asking for the right level of money for subscriptions- I was feeling concerned that the added pressure of it being my full time role was becoming less helpful. More hindering me. As soon as I made the decision I had the most efficient 'week of actions' you'd ever imagine! It will go down in the annuls of Yoga Quota history as the 'efficient week of action' where everything was finalised implemented and changed.

See you back in Oxford for the hang over cure on Saturday and my candle lit classes. Ah! Mats candles and a studio... Can't beat it!
